Things to do to help stress

Aloha everyone,

So, I haven’t been on here for ages! I’m so sorry about that, but these last few weeks have been so crazy. Assignments and my home life hasn’t been too easy lately either. This is why I thought I’d do this little blog post 🙂 By the way, I’m not a doctor or anything like that so these are just things I’ve learnt. Here we go…

  • Take some time out and have a bath or do your own DIY facial.
  • Have a jam out session with the music blaring. Nothing beats having a dance comp with yourself!
  • Sit down and write about what you’re stressing about and think of ways you can fix that problem.
  • Talk to someone about your stressy situation.
  • Take a light or heavy stroll.
  • Do some exercise – let some steam off.
  • Watch a movie. Disney ones are amazing when feeling stressed.
  • Read a few chapters of a book.
  • Have a short nap.
  • Check social media. This is probably isn’t a great one but it takes your mind off things!

So hope these things will help your stressy moments! Comment down below if you need a chat or email me 🙂

Au revoir!

Trip to Yamba

Aloha everyone,

So a couple of weeks ago I went on a weekend trip to Yamba with my family. Yamba is in New South Wales, Australia it’s about 125km away from Byron Bay. My family and I went just before school started back so it was a lovely way to end the holidays by just relaxing.

The trip mainly consisted of surfing, swimming, eating and sleeping there wasn’t a whole lot going on but I’d thought I’d share some photos of the trip and the places I ate! Click on the photo’s to see where each one was taken.

My family and I stayed in the Blue Dolphin Holiday Resort. We all really enjoyed staying there. There were things for everyone to do! For the kids we could swim in the pool, jump on the inflatable pillow, or even swim down some man made rapids! There was also a games room and a movie on every night. So if you’re going down to Yamba for a holiday with a family I definitely recommend it, except for the fact that you could ride scooters and bikes and everything else except for skateboards?! Strange, I know.

Anyway, just before I finish of this blog post I would like to give a mention to Irons and Craig Café. Every time my family and I go to Yamba we make it a priority to go and get one of their milkshakes. They’re just the best! They make it so that you can shake your own, they put the ice cream, your flavour of topping and milk in a cute little maison jar with a lid. Once you tighten the lid you shake, shake, shake and there you have it you’re own milkshake! It’s lots of fun 🙂

So if you’re ever in Yamba or just passing through make sure to pop in and grab a bite or have a swim. There’s 11 beaches to choose from!

That’s all for now!

Au revoir Friends xx

DIY: Ocean in a botttle

Aloha everyone,

So I was scrolling around Pinterest looking for inspiration because I really wanted to do a DIY. I also didn’t want to have to go out and buy all new things. Then I found ocean in a bottle!

Materials

  • Cooking oil (I’ve heard vegetable oil works too!)
  • Water
  • A bottle
  • Food Colouring

What to do

  1. Wash your container out with water.
Grab your container and fill it with water about a third of the way.
  2. Put two drops of food colouring in (I used blue so it looks like an ocean.)
  3. Twist the lid back onto your bottle and shake around the food dye so it’s totally mixed in with the water.
  4. Take the lid of and fill the rest of the bottle with the oil of your choice.
  5. Put the lid back on, give it a little shake and there you have it! Ocean in a bottle.

1.  IMG_7733 2.  IMG_7736 4. IMG_7737 4.  IMG_7739 4. IMG_7740

This little DIY is great for younger kids, it’s easy to make and lots of fun to watch the colours swirl round. Enjoy!

Au revoir! xx

15 things I learnt in 2015

Aloha everyone,

Seeing though it is the last day of the year ( I know right how fast has it gone.) I thought I’d do a 15 things I learnt in 2015, this year has been so crazy for me and I’d like to thank anyone who has come into my life this year or all the people who have stayed in my life and helped me. Okay, so let’s start! (By the way some of these will be weird!?)

  1. If you cut a potato in half and rub the white stuff on your armpit it will take away any dark circles. Make sure to wash the potato off :).
  2. Don’t let anyone tell you, you can’t do something. Tacky I know but it’s true.
  3. Can’t isn’t actually a good word to have in your vocabulary.
  4. I learnt that Justin Bieber is amazing and I cried in his 2013 movie. Whoops.
  5. It’s okay just to do something for you. Meaning sometimes it’s okay to be selfish. Sometimes, not always.
  6. To keep a constant facial routine. I still haven’t mastered this one :/.
  7. Keep nail polish in the fridge to keep it from glugging. I’m not sure if that’s an actual word? But it means to stop it from becoming so thick that you can’t really put it on your nail.
  8. Make goals. Goal planning is amazing because once you’ve reach a goal you feel so accomplished and its just an extraordinary feeling maybe give yourself a treat when you’ve reached your goal. Don’t make your goal too hard either just have baby goals to reach a main goal so you don’t give up :).
  9.  My passion for travelling has increased by 10 million %.
  10. Music is my greatest therapy of all time.
  11. If you can, grab a meditation colouring in book. I got one and whenever I need to let some steam out I just sit in my room and colour in. It’s literally amazing.
  12. I’m going to Europe next year! YAYAYAYAY.
  13. Don’t let something like anxiety stop you from doing things you love. I know this through personal experiences. I get anxiety over new experiences and catching buses, planes, basically any type of transport but a boat. But this year and the year before I got into a representative team and we had to catch a bus to get to different places. I got so nervous before catching the bus I used to get sick and everything but I just had to tough it out and I kept going because I just loved doing it so much. Now looking back I’m so glad I didn’t quit because I never remember feeling sick I just remember the great memories I made with others :).
  14. Take time to look after yourself every now and again. Take a bath or have a spa day where you just relax and spend time with yourself. Have a bit of rest time :).
  15. Make sure to spend time with people who make you happy. Try to block out negativity, you won’t be able to block all negativity but you can sure try.

So that’s what I’ve learnt this year! I hope everyone had the best year and that next year treats you even better. Happy new year!

Au revoir friends xx

P.S: I leave some photos from my favourite memories of this year 🙂

Knowing when to move? Part 2.

Aloha everyone,

I am so sorry I haven’t been blogging lately but I was in the midst of Exam week which is where each day I have a different exam. Anyway, I thought that I would update you on the whole moving schools thing.

So, instead of dawdling around and not knowing what to do and even if I should move I asked mum to set up a meeting with the school. She set up a meeting with the school and I was so excited I thought I was going to love it. Before I left for the meeting though I wasn’t so sure on leaving my current school. I hadn’t told anyone about moving except my best friend, shall we give her a nickname? Maybe… Mermaid just because she loves the beach so so much. I had talked to Mer (for short) about it and she didn’t really know what to say.

But off I went to the meeting anyway. I already missed my friends and I had only gone to the meeting so I knew that there was no way I was going to survive forever. The school itself was wonderful it had big sandstone walls and the most amazing science labs! The science labs were the best part. The school though didn’t offer textiles and I was really looking forward to do that. So even though the school itself was pretty great I think the morals and the people around me where I live now are even more amazing. I’m talking about you Mer ♡. Anyway, so there you have it. I think after this whole experienced I have learnt not to take what I already have for granted. I think everyone expects the grass to be greener when things or places are talked up but it just depends on the type of person you are or want to be.

I hope you take away two things with these past two blog post. 1. The grass is not greener on the other side and 2. Don’t dawdle into making a decision, yes, obviously think about what you’re doing first. But after that just go for it, especially if it’s not going to hurt you or anyone else around you. Just check things out.

So there we have it. It was so lovely talking to you guys again! It’s now Christmas holidays so hopefully my blogs will become more regular. I will also put some photos of recent food I’ve had.

Au revoir Lovelies x

P.S: The two people are my cousin (Asia can be her nickname because she will probably pop up heaps in this blog because we’re always spending time together.)  and I we went on a spa and the height difference I thought was hilarious.

P.P.S: If you’ve had any situations like me comment down below and let me know how you got through it! ♡

Knowing when to move?

Aloha everyone,

So this week I have it a little bit of a dilemma. So I have been wanting to move schools for a while but I’m not sure if it’s worth the move or not? So I thought I’d share my thoughts and what my family thinks on the whole topic. Comment down below and tell me if you have gone through the same thing.

I have been wanting to move schools for a while now because the school I’m in at the moment is not great. I don’t like the teachers at all, none of them are amazing, the school itself sucks but I have the greatest friends.

So that’s my dilemma. Mum doesn’t want me moving because I have such great friends at my current school and the bus trip to my new school would be massive. I made a pros and cons list but the list ended up being even so that did not help at all.

Anyway, I would love to move but my mum doesn’t like the idea because I’ve made such great friends but I think I’d be able to make new friends! I don’t think I’m too bad at making friends and I know a few people from the new school so it wouldn’t be too bad? Also I would obviously keep in touch with my close friends from my current school because yes, they are great.

Now, the only thing that I can’t fix is the long bus ride. I thought though if my bus ride was really long I could just do my homework or something like that on the bus. Like seriously it couldn’t be too bad, could it?

Lastly, to add to my case I know a couple of teachers because my younger brother’s (doesn’t live with me, split family) friends parents are teachers at the new school and I met them today at his birthday! I’ll leave some pictures of the birthday party down below.

Anyway that’s all I had to talk about tonight I just had to get it off my chest. Comment down below if you’ve had any problems like this and if so how did the results turn out?

Au revoir Lovelies x

Sydney!

Aloha everyone,

So on the weekend I had a day in Sydney! Yay! I went down there to visit the Youtubers Joe and Caspar on their tour for their new movie. It was so much fun.

I love Sydney so much. In fact I love every city they fascinate me so much. When we got off the plane we went and had breakfast at the cutest little bakery unfortunately I didn’t take any photos though!

After food we dropped our bags off and went shopping! We(mum and I) shopped for about 3 hours and my legs were about to fall off! I bought a really pretty dress which was white, with it I wore a cargo jumper and white converse. I will leave a picture down below of my outfit!

Then once all was done I was ready! Off to Joe and Caspar Hit The Road!

Now the fun begins! The venue was at Luna Park and oh my!

How fun it was. The presenter of the show was Kayne Tremills he is an Australian presenter and I know him from ABC 3. I was in the front row and it was awesome I could see everything. I will leave some pictures below hand of the venue and the boys on stage! What an amazing night.

Also, I started an instagram account a couple of days ago so go and check it out if you have instagram!

It was nice talking to you all again and see you next time!

Au revoir Lovelies x

P.S: Comment if you went to Caspar and Joe! I would love to hear your experience xx

Welcome!

Aloha everyone,

Well isn’t this exciting. I have been waiting so long to start a blog but never knew how hard it would be to come up with a name. There are a few things I would like to talk about in my first post.

My first thing is why my blog name doesn’t have my real name or anything like that in it. The reason is that I think it would be fun for you not to know who I am and just like the blog for itself and what I write one it. I may eventually show my face and name but for now the photos I post and the things I write on this blog are the only things you’ll get to know about me 🙂

Secondly, I wanted to talk about why I wanted to start a blog. My mum and I travel a lot and I think this would be fun to share my travels with the world. Also on these travels I will try new and exciting things and food which I will share with you too. The lifestyle part of my blog will be DIY’s, food recipes and talking about serious matters that relate to me and my life.

Lastly, I think you would like to hear on why I chose missalohablog. It took me about 5 months to figure out a name for my blog and I picked missalohablog because at first it was going to be alohaamis which is hello hello in Hawaiian and friends in French but it still didn’t sound right. I brought my friend over to help me and she suggested the name so thankyou so so much.

I would like to say that this blog will be full of happiness and sunshine! I hope you enjoy this blog as much as I will.

Anyway,

Au revior Lovelies x

P.S: Here are some photos of my recent travels to Tasmania!
